According to a recent report published by the Joint Economic Committee (JEC), the number of subprime foreclosures in Arizona will total 52,400 between third quarter 2007 and the end of 2009.

The Democratic Congresswomen in Arizona's 8th District is doing her homework about housing and foreclosures. She held court at Safeway in Rita Ranch yesterday and discussed issues with local constituents. It was sheer Providence that Thor (shown at right) and I were there. We were headed to the Saguaro National Forest to take photographs to illustrate TucsonTown.com when we spotted the little confab. We chatted with several of her constituent representatives, and had a lunch outdoors to benefit the local Easter Seals Society.
